Dan TDM – The Contest

I once again had the pleasure of being drafted into the Kong ranks to help deliver 4 animated motion comics for YouTube sensation DanTDM and his UK Arena Tour: The Contest. They were to be shown across 3 huge backdrop screens, so the aspect ratio was super wide. I was responsible for inking and colouring work on characters, additional cel-shaded assets (trees, crowds, FG buidings and vehicles, a bear etc), background clean up where required and compiling/staging the background art and the character art into files that were ready for compositing. It was a busy 2 weeks but the results looked fantastic, with the icing on the cake being a trip to Manchester with the team to see the show live. Had great fun on this job.
